I write this on the day of Ann's Memorial. I have only known Ann for the last 6 years of her life as I was her personal trainer. Having read the thoughts contributed by her family and friends on this website, I realize much of the "real Ann" was never lost even during the last period of her illness. Ann was extremely motivated, eager, and committed to getting physically stronger even when she didn't feel well. was unbelievably brave during the process of diagnosing this rare disease as well as living in an un-balanced world everyday. She met every challenge with patience and laughter. Ann was loyal to me during a time of physical challenge for me. I am grateful to have know Ann for the time that I did. I wish I had known her while she was healthy, but I know that those qualities that made Ann who she was never left her. Chris, who is a valiant caregiver, partner and friend has made me feel part of the family and I will always cherish knowing Ann, Chris and their family together and individually now and in the future.
